Sue’s Muse: An Interview with James Beaman

This is another man that does it all and seems to do it all on a very high level. An actor, singer, impersonator, graphic artist and director, he is making quite a splash again here in NY as the “director to the stars”—on the A list of collaborators for the likes of Richard Skipper, Goldie Dver, Alex De Suze, John M. Cook and so many more. In this interview he speaks about his unique collaboration with the fabulous music director Dan Pardo. He also let’s us in on how he is able to balance frequently going out of town to star in regional theater with his own career, while also pursuing his ever-busy directorial endeavors. Let’s catch up again with the delightful (and handsome) James Beaman…

I have always said that if you are looking for a good director, go to a few shows to see their work and then chat with them about their process.
