MAC Announces the Names of the 2018 Songwriting Nominees

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) is pleased to announce names of the 2018 MAC Award Songwriting nominees. The winners will be revealed as the envelopes are opened live at the 32st Annual MAC Awards on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 PM at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City. Until that moment, only the independent accountants know who the winners are. The winners in certain categories will perform live at the show. All nominees in those categories are rehearsed in advance so they are prepared to perform in the event they are the winner

The 2018 MAC Award Nominees in the SONG category are:

“I CAN TELL TIME” Music by Ben Schaechter; Lyrics by Dan Kael

“MOUNTAIN IN THE SKY” Music by Jaime Lozano; Lyrics by Marina Pires

“NEVERTHELESS (SHE PERSISTED)” Music and Lyrics by Drew Fornarola

“PLEASANTVILLE” Music and Lyrics by John Cook

“STAY AWHILE” Music by Derek Gregor; Lyrics by Sam Carner

The 2018 MAC Award Nominees in the COMEDY/NOVELTY SONG category are:

“APPLY” Music by Ben Schaechter; Lyrics by Dan Kael

“GO INTO FINANCE” Music and Lyrics by Billy Recce

“HEY, HEY, IT’S OK” Music by Lorinda Lisitza; Lyrics by Amy Wolk

“MISTER PROMISED-ME-THE-MOON” Music by John C. Introcaso; Lyrics by Michael Colby

“QUIET” Music and Lyrics by Drew Fornarola
