By Scott Barbarino***Vocalist Jane Seaman’s Redheaded Woman is absolutely a must-see. It’s a show that takes you into the psyche of a complex, sexy, fiercely unique and “somewhat” stereotypical ginger. It was s
harp, funny, totally engaging—and all delivered with a great voice and good old show business panache.
Seaman has clearly kicked around the business a bit, for sure, but she’s none the worse for the wear and tear. Ah, show biz! Direction by James Beaman was perfect and astute; he gave Ms Seaman Drag Queen sass that fit her big personality like a glove! Able musical support was by music director-pianist Ron Drotos with bassist John Miller.
There’s one more scheduled performance: tomorrow, Friday, Oct 9 at 7 PM at Don’t Tell Mama. LAST CHANCE! Don’t miss it. Tickets here.
Don’t Tell Mama is located at 343 W. 46 St., NYC
