Frank Sinatra: From Band Singer to Icon, presented by American Voices, plays at the Kaye Playhouse on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 at 7 PM. Music for the show is by Ryan Keberle’s Big Band Living Legacy Project, a 15-piece jazz orchestra with Adam Birnbaum on piano. Vocalists are Hilary Kole, who co-created and co-starred in Our Sinatra (currently playing at the Marjorie Dean Little Theatre), Tony Award nominee Max von Essen (An American in Paris), Tony Award winner Matt Doyle (Company), Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys) and Tony, GRAMMY and Emmy Award winner André De Shields.
From music and motion pictures to television and live performance, no one accomplished more in entertainment than Frank Sinatra. By the end of his career, his achievements had made him an American icon, and because of the singular quality of his singing style he became known around the world simply as “The Voice.”
