Vocalist and cabaret star, the multiple award-winning Jeff Harnar, delivers a special encore of I Know Things Now, My Life in Sondheim’s Words, on Monday, November 9 at 7 PM at Birdland, dedicated to the memory of Sondra Lee, who who passed in February at the age of 97 and who directed the original. Music director is Jon Weber, with bassist Steve Doyle and drummer Ray Marchica.

I Know Things Now was one of Lee’s final directorial projects, and one she championed from its inception. Together with Weber, the show was crafted using the words and music of Stephen Sondheim to create a self-portrait of the emotional landscape of an openly gay New Yorker. Harnar will revisit an eclectic set list from Follies, Into The Woods, A Little Night Music, Road Show, Dick Tracy, Passion, Company and more, with a gender-bending fluidity: many of the songs having originally been introduced by women.

There is a $30-$60 Cover Charge cover charge and $20 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at Birdlandjazz.com.

Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street(between 8th and 9th Avenues) in Manhattan
