Awards Season: 2020 Drama League Awards Nominees Are Announced

The Drama League—an arts advocacy nonprofit with a focus on stage directors—has announced the 2020 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the Distinguished Performance Award. The Drama League Awards, which began in 1935, recognize outstanding achievements on and off Broadway,

The nominations were announced by Alex Brightman and Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer on April 30 at the League’s annual presentation of The Gratitude Awards. Voting is open for Drama League members from May 1 – May 22, with winners to be announced by Gabriel Stelian-Shanks and Bevin Ross via live-stream in June.

The Drama League also acknowledges previous recipients of the Distinguished Performance Award who appeared in Broadway or Off-Broadway productions this season. The Award can only be won once in a performer’s lifetime; however, their exemplary work is herein recognized and applauded.
