The show is a tribute to pop singer Toni Tennille on the week of her 86th birthday. Most people know Toni Tennille as half of the pop duo The Captain and Tennille, with husband, Daryl Dragon AKA “The Captain” and from their 1976 GRAMMY- winning hit, “Love Will Keep Us Together.” The duo also starred in a ’70s variety show, the Captain and Tennille Show. Diamond presents stories behind Tennille’s songs, career and marriage, combined with hits from her pop era as well as songs from her solo career.
