THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21: Mi Amor Gala’s 5th Anniversary Features Grammy Award-winning Artists John Carter Cash & Ana Cristina Cash

Mi Amor Gala announces its 5th anniversary of the celebration of kindness with a White/Black Gala on November 21st at The Cutting Room, 44 E 32nd St, New York, NY. Mi Amor Gala is partnering with Safe Passage, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, peer support and legal services to victims of domestic violence.

Each year, Mi Amor Gala honors individuals engaged in outstanding works of philanthropy with its “Kindness is Cool” award in addition to the empowerment “Runway of Hope.”

The program of the Mi Amor Gala 2019 will include:

The “Kindness is Cool” Award honoring:

  • Claudia Romo Edelman, a Mexican-Swiss diplomat and an advocate for inclusion equity and representation with a mission to use her voice to build bridges and remind us that we are all human.
  • April Hernandez-Castillo, a Latina actress in Hollywood. Her personal life story is one of victory; she uses her experience to motivate and inspire other survivors of domestic violence.
  • Liana Zavo, a Russian-American self-made entrepreneur on a mission to change the women’s media landscape by empowering women in business.

Plus:

  • The “Runway of Hope,” starring survivors of domestic violence.
  • Performance by Grammy Award-winning producer and artist John Carter Cash and Ana Cristina Cash.
  • A silent auction.

This 5th anniversary of Mi Amor Gala will be used to raise funds for survivors of domestic violence and to celebrate their new strength and power made possible by the services provided by Safe Passage.
