THE GREEN ROOM 42 has extended its run of the special Boy Band Brunch, with the singing group The Boy Band Project, through the end of the year. The show will be presented every other week on Sunday afternoon through December 29, 2019. All performances are at 2:00 PM. An interactive musical adventure, The Boy Band Project features four sexy guys bringing the moves and music of boy band hits, re-imagining the sound, movement and energy of NSync, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, One Direction, Boyz II Men and more.
The Boy Band Project, recently seen on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” and called “refreshing and entertaining in a dazzling, flamboyant way” by Get Out magazine, is a contemporary boy band cover group that features a cast direct from Broadway’s Wicked, Hair, Cabaret, Mamma Mia, The Book of Mormon, Alter Boyz and Rock of Ages. The original cast members met while performing together in the musical Alter Boyz. Discovering their shared love of the music of the boy bands of the ‘90s led to the birth of the group in 2014. They’ve been going strong ever since, with each performance a hilarious and nostalgic look at boy band acts that authentically replicates the sound, precise movement and energy of the boy bands that inspire them.
The Boy Band Project will perform on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 PM, on August 18; September 1, 15 and 29; October 13 and 27; November 3 and 17; and December 1, 15, and 29. The cover charge is $20-$50. There is no food and drink minimum. For tickets, please visit www.TheGreenRoom42.com.
