Eric Comstock (piano/voice) and Barbara Fasano (voice) bring their showmanship back to Birdland with Summer Standard Time, on Saturday, June 27 at 5:30 PM. Rounding out the quartet are their longtime collaborators Sean Smith (bass) and Vito Lesczak (drums).
Fresh from their Artist Residency at Italy’s Monteverdi Tuscany, they return to Birdland to celebrate summer with an ever-evolving American Songbook. The eclectic mix includes jazz and pop classics by Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen and Cole Porter, plus singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Jill Sobule and Bruce Springsteen.
In March, thheir album, Painting the Town, (Human Child Records), featuring tenor saxophone legend Houston Person, won the 2026 Manhattan Association of Cabarets Award (MAC) for Major Record of the Year. Their concerts and recordings have garnered 10 MAC Awards, fivve New York Bistro Awards, the New York Nightlife Award, and the Donald F. Smith Award from the Mabel Mercer Foundation, acknowledging their artistry as “preeminent popular and jazz song stylists and a uniquely wondrous musical team.”
