Shana Farr Sings the Songbook of Barbara Cook

Award-winning performer Shana Farr celebrates the legendary Broadway, concert and cabaret star, Barbara Cook, in her new show It’s Not Where You Start: The Songbook of Barbara Cook, at Feinstein’s/54 Below, February 3 with musical direction by Jon Weber. The act is directed by Duncan Knowles, paying tribute to the late diva of vocal prowess and stellar interpretation, and her love of music and lyrics. Included are Cook’s signature songs from her Broadway roles: “Till There Was You” (The Music Man); “Ice Cream” (She Loves Me); “This Is All Very New To Me” (Plain and Fancy) and the vocal wonderment “Glitter and Be Gay” (Candide). The varied set list, focusing on optimism, will also feature songs from Sondheim classics FolliesMerrily We Roll Along and Anyone Can Whistle.
