Richard Skipper Is Live and Celebrating, on Sunday, March 12, at the Nearby Roost in Sparkill, NY

Entertainer, raconteur and theater historian Richard Skipper celebrates a life in show business with Plate Spinners, Jugglers, …AND Richard Skipper! Tales of a LIFETIME in Show Business! (An unscripted Cabaret) on Sunday, March 12 at 5 PM at the nearby Roost in Sparkill, New York. Musical director is Michael McAssey.

The title of which comes from a reaction from Donald Smith, the late founder of the Mable Mercer Foundation and creator or the annual Cabaret Convention. About Skipper, Smith said, “My Dear! When we allow someone like Richard Skipper into the Cabaret Convention, what’s next? Plate spinners and jugglers?”

Skipper also celebrates Cabaret Month in his show, with stories about the people Skipper has worked with, the places he’s performed in and the lessons learned over the course of his almost 44-year career in the entertainment industry. He’s spent a large part of that career as a renowned impersonator of the legendary Carol Channing, has been a presenter of talent and also has regularly hosted his cabaret series, Richard Skipper CELEBRATES. This is an interactive experience with audience members invited to ask questions of Skipper along the way.

Tickets are 25.00, plus a  $25.00 minimum food/drinks per person. Reservations are highly suggested by clicking here
