Russ Woolley proudly presents: Richard Skipper Celebrates The Art of Cabaret featuring Leanne Borghesi, David Sabella, Jim Speake, Those Girls, Karen Mack, Eve Eaton, Rachel Hanser, Wendy Anne Russell and Quinn Lemley as Rita Hayworth will play at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on May 20th at 1 PM. Richard Skipper and friends will endeavor to paint a picture of the magic, music and romance that is the art form of cabaret. Musical Direction is by Joe Goodrich with Don Kelly on Percussion, Matt Scharfglass on bass and Erik Lawrence on Sax; Steven Ray Watkins will accompany Jim Speake and Those Girls.
For decades, Richard Skipper has entertained audiences, celebrating the careers of the entertainment world’s stars and celebrities. Skipper’s goal is to bring audiences back to the days of gathering around the TV and watching the stars come out in a little seen format these days—the variety show. “You’ll leave this event with smiles,” he says.
