Pangea Jazz Brunch Open Mic Begins on Saturday, January 18

Pangea will now be serving brunch on the weekends and every 3rd Saturday starting Saturday, January 18, there will be an open mic jazz brunch from 12:00 to 2:30 PM. Hosts are the award-winning singer/songwriting team of Sue Matsuki and Gregory Toroian (on piano) with Skip Ward on bass and David Silliman on drums. Future open mics are scheduled for Saturdays February 15th and March 21st.

A mini jazz set will be performed by Matsuki and Toroian to start each open mic, but all genres of music are welcome. In order to sing, a reservation must be made at suematsuki@aol.com, which will  be confirmed by return email, with full details of logistics and format included. There is also a Special Bonus opportunity too—every month one singer from that open mic will be selected by the band to do a three-song set at the next month’s open mic! Walk-ins are welcome and will sing if there is time, but they are not guaranteed a spot to sing.

The house opens at 12:00 noon for check-in. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a $15.00 CASH ONLY music charge at the door. In addition, there is a $15.00 per person food/drink minimum (credit or cash).
