Marilyn Maye Is an Inspiration for the Young, Old and Especially Eric Jetner

By Scott Barbarino***One thing we all know to be true: Marilyn Maye is a force of nature and that is the essence of each of her performances. She’s an experience not to be missed by any person young or old who wants to learn artistry from a real Master. A true living inspiration!

At a recent performance I brought a young newbie, French-born Eric Jetner, to her show … of course at 65 almost everybody seems younger! LOL Ms. Maye at 96 is a strong tonic of life for children of all ages. Here’s what he had to say …

“As a performer I had the opportunity to see many shows and meet many artists from all around the  globe. I had the privilege to admire the talented Marilyn Maye at 54 Below and what a lesson of generosity, success and talent! Marilyn is the symbol of interpretation of words. She knows how to catch the audience and the sparks in her eyes illuminate the entire room.“

He told me “Paris would love Ms. Maye!” Now there’s a good idea! There’s nothing like her now in France. With streaming video, we could spread the word and make it “Maye Paree!”

Maye is at 54 Below on May 2, 5 and 6 (see below for details). If you’re out of town and can’t get to New York City, Maye is livestreaming from the club on May 5th. What a great opportunity to see this amazing performer from anywhere in the world, including “Maye Paree!”
