The Theatre World Awards 80th annual ceremony will take place on Tuesday afternoon, June 2 at 2:00 PM at The Longacre Theatre, hosted by theater journalist, Peter Filichia. First presented in 1945, the award show was founded by John Willis, the Editor-in-Chief of both Theatre World and its companion volume, Screen World, given for Outstanding Broadway and Off-Broadway performances.
This year’s honorees are:
JOHN LITHGOW: John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre
RACHAEL STIRLING: Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theatre
2026 CLASS OF HONOREES: BEN AHLERS (DEATH OF A SALESMAN); LJ BENET (THE LOST BOYS); MADELINE BREWER (BECKY SHAW); ADRIEN BRODY (THE FEAR OF 13); AEYO EDEBIRI (PROOF); LUKE EVANS (THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW); ALDEN EHRENREICH (BECKY SHAW); WILL HARRISON (PUNCH); RIVER LIPE-SMITH (CAROLINE); LESLY MANVILLE (OEDIPUS); ROBERT “SILK” MASON (CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL); and SAM TUTTY (TWO STRANGERS-CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK).
