Judy Garland’s Orchestral Arrangements Hit the Auction Block on February 27

Judy Garland‘s orchestral arrangements will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on February 27. Bidding for the arrangements is set to begin at $3,000. Hundreds of pages of arrangements, primarily created for “The Judy Garland Show,” her 1963-64 TV series, and for other performances, such as her 1967 concert at Broadway’s Palace Theatre, were found in a trunk left by the star at New York’s Plaza Hotel in 1967. The trunk and its contents were given to Costas Omero, director and producer of a revue that played the Plaza in 1971. The lot includes a letter of authenticity from Omero’s daughter.

The collection includes arrangements for Garland’s now iconic songs, such as “Over the Rainbow” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” as well as “Judy at the Palace,” “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows,” and more.
