Jazz Vocalist & Pianist Diane Marino Returns to Birdland, Thursday April 4th

Birdland Jazz Club welcomes back jazz vocalist and pianist Diane Marino on Thursday, April 4th at 5:30 pm. Marino will perform the music of her new release, Soul Serenade—The Gloria Lynne Project, which has received worldwide air play. Joining her is Don Aliquo on tenor sax, Ron Aprea on alto sax, Brian Pareschi on trumpet, Rick Faulkner on trombone, Frank Marino on bass and Neal Smith on drums. Marino will also be performing songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards and Brazilian classics sung in Portuguese.

Marino, an M&M Records recording artist, has recorded six CDs—all of which have received widespread airplay and critical acclaim. She has recorded and shared the stage with jazz legends Houston Person, Ralph Lalama, Joe Henderson, Wycliffe Gordon, Harry Allen, Pete Escovedo, Tania Maria and Kirk Whalum, as well as pop music icon Felix Cavaliere, and many others.
