The stars aligned (pun intended) at Provincetown CabaretFest’s inaugural new leadership season, June 8th-14th. Spearheaded by Producing Artistic Director David Rhodes, the festival was a whirlwind week of inspiring master classes, workshops, student spotlight shows, headliner performances and musical after parties!

Awards were presented to Producer Emeritus Patricia Fitzpatrick and returning student Jeff Morrissey (both of whom also received additional awards), and this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Tony Award winner Faith Prince. Her master class was revelatory—but her brilliantly-crafted musical medley acceptance speech was a master class in and of itself. Headliner performances featured five Broadway veterans: Tony nominee Sally Mayes, Jayke Workman, Anthony Murphy, Nicolas King and Prince. Also featured was cabaret royalty via Sidney Myer, Carolyn Montgomery, Michael Garin and Mardie Millit, and rising star Jake Oswell.
The Provincetown CabaretFest team is already “putting it together” and eagerly anticipation returning to Provincetown in June 2027 to, as Rhodes puts it: “unleash the next phase of musical merriment in Provincetown and celebrate all things cabaret!”
