The Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point, NJ presents a live event, Backyard at the Gateway Piano Bar, with Michael McAssey, on Thursday, August 27th from 6-9 pm. The event is reservation only, with all social distancing rules in effect. Seating is limited, and masks must be worn in all areas when not seated at a table.

Michael McAssey is an actor, conductor, music director and pianist-singer. He made his cabaret debut in 1982 at New York City’s Duplex and is a winner and three-time nominee of the MAC Award for Outstanding Male Vocalist. He made his Town Hall debut at the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s 13th Annual Cabaret Convention. As an actor he made his Broadway debut in the musical Late Nite Comic. McAssey has also appeared Off-Broadway and at Lincoln Center. On television he portrayed blind pianist-singer George Baldwin on CBS-TV’s “Guiding Light.” McAsseycan currently be seen as the host of Piano Bar Live every Sunday at 7 pm on his Facebook Page.
