A classical pianist with a passion for popular standards from the 1920’s-the ’60’s, Gary is once again bringing his distinctive style to the Great American Songbook. This time he’s letting the great singers he associates with each song guide him. The vocal stylings of Lena, Judy, Tony, Nat, Ella and oh, so many others, lead him to the music and lyrics of Porter, Waller, the Gershwins, Fields and Berlin.
It’s a delightful program made all the more engaging by Gary’s unique arrangements, extraordinary musicianship and his heartfelt and charming interpretations.
