Fred Barton’s Broadway Band Returns to Feinstein’s/54 Below on Friday, September 6

Fred Barton, pianist, music director, bandleader and his Broadway Band, are back at Feinstein’s/54 Below on Friday, September 6 at 9:45 PM. Barton and crew will offer prime Golden-Age Broadway songs, both heard-of and un-, played by musicians who are all seasoned Broadway pit players. Some are taking the night off from their productions because they love this work. Additionally, Barton will mix in a few Hollywood novelties and Swing rarities, plus rare Frank Loesser, Jule Styne, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, and an Irving Berlin tune that hasn’t been heard orchestrated and performed in all its glory since 1922.

Here’s who’s in the cast:

KAREN MURPHY’s Broadway credits include A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, 9 TO 5, ALL SHOOK UP, 42ND ST. and TITANIC, as well as turns Off-Broadway in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, ZOMBIE PROM and MY VAUDEVILLE MAN. He’s concertized nationwide with Reba McEntire, Shoshona Bean, Michael McLean, Christiane Noll and David Archuleta, and built an active musical theatre career, including playing the dashing Gaylord Ravenal in SHOW BOAT at the Westchester Broadway Theatre.
