“DUOS” Host, Guitarist/Composer Sean Harkness, Welcomes Vocalist, Janis Siegel and Trumpeter, Warren Vache to Birdland on June 14th

Continuing his DUOS series, guitarist Sean Harkness, performs duets with nine-time Grammy winner (with 17 Grammy nominations), vocalist Janis Siegel, plus trumpet/cornet/flugelhorn player, Warren Vache on June 14that 6:00 PM at Birdland Jazz Club, 315 West 44th St., NYC.  DUOS with Sean Harkness will also play on August 23 and September 13, 2018, each with a different roster of guest artists.

Harkness is a multiple MAC, Bistro and Broadway World award-winner, including “Outstanding Instrumentalist” and “Best Recording.” He a solo and ensemble virtuoso, with eight albums recorded for Windham Hill, BMG/RCA/Sony and others. Janis Siegel is best known as the voice of The Manhattan Transfer, with a dozen of her own solo albums and numerous collaborations from jazz to blues, including recent Broadway and Latin American music releases. Siegel won a 1980 Grammy Award for her arrangement of “Birdland.” Warren Vache is a frequent performer at the top international jazz festivals. His full career includes big band and swing in the Benny Goodman Band. He’s a recording leader for film, TV and a Guest Artist in over 35 albums.
