Bistro Award winner and multiple MAC and BroadwayWorld nominee, Deborah Zecher, brings a new show, Broadway Bible: A Sermon in Sequins, to Don’t Tell Mama on Sunday, October 18 at 7 PM, Sunday, November 1 at 4 PM and Wednesday, December 9 at 7 PM. Lennie Watts directs and music direction is by Tracy Stark.
Broadway Bible is a light-hearted and slightly irreverent celebration of the Biblical stories in Genesis and Exodus using beloved Broadway songs. Imagine the patriarch Jacob bemoaning the sibling rivalry of his 12 sons and singing “Kids” from Bye, Bye Birdie. That’s Broadway Bible! If you’re someone who thinks that all of life should be a musical, this is the show for you! If you’re someone who wants to think about the Bible from a new perspective, this is definitely the show for you! If you’re someone who loves a good show tune no matter why it is sung, come to Broadway Bible!
There is a $20 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum. Cash only. $15 for MAC members. Reservations online at donttellmamanyc.com.
Don’t Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street, NYC.
