Open Mic Series SALON Returns, Beginning Sunday, August 22, at Don’t Tell Mama

After a lengthy break, enforced by the COVID pandemic lockdown, the long-running open mic series, SALON, hosted by Mark Janas and produced by Tanya Moberly returns to Don’t Tell Mama on Sunday, August 22, from 7-9:30 PM. SALON is an open entertainment event in which singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members. The schedule to date, is as follows:

Participants are asked to bring several selections to avoid duplication. All types of material, on or off theme is welcome. Instrumentalists, poets, playwrights, essayists, comics, illusionists and performance artists are also welcome.

An in-house videographer offering professional, website and YouTube-ready video clips is available for anyone who is interested. The cost is $20 in cash per song, payable in advance at sign-up. This service is  optional.

Doors open and sign up begins at 6:30pm. The evening runs 7-9:30pm without a break.

There is a $10 cash cover ($5 for students with I.D.) collected at the door and a 2-drink minimum (cash or credit) per person. Reservations are highly recommended.
