Singing-actress Christina Pecce makes her Iridium debut in Witches, Bitches And Divas! on Tuesday, August 28 at 8 PM, with cross-over comedy and songs from musicals, operas and popular standards with Pecce’s unique spin. Matthew Stephens, Music Director/pianist appears with Ulises Amaya on bass and Jack Goode on drums. The show is directed by Lisa Asher, an award-winning singer, actor, director and MC at Ellen’s Stardust Diner.

Pecce is a classically trained performer with a mezzo-soprano range, able to span multiple genres, including opera, musical comedy, jazz and pop. She has performed with Chicago Fringe Opera and Fort Worth Opera and appeared in Chicago Lyric Opera’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Most recently, among her other credits, she performed in the inaugural Diva Cage Match with Out Of The Box Opera at the Uppercut Boxing Gym In Minneapolis, MN, created the role of Helen Vaughan in the world premiere of The Great God Pan by composer Ross Crean, with Chicago Fringe Opera, and was featured as an apprentice artist for Fort Worth Opera’s 2016-2017 season.

Pecce created Witches, Bitches and Divas! as an antidote to years of auditioning, working, not working and hanging on with survival jobs, tired of waiting for permission to perform. The show debuted at Davenport’s Piano Bar in Chicago last season.
