Broadway’s Betty Buckley Celebrates New CD Release, “Hope,” at Joe’s Pub, Tuesday, June 5th to Saturday, June 9th

Tony Award-winning Broadway star, BETTY BUCKLEY, will release her compelling new live album Hope—a mix of Americana, pop, rock and standards—from Palmetto Records in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, June 8. Buckley will celebrate the album at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater in New York with a four-concert engagement from Tuesday, June 5 to Saturday, June 9. Shows are at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. Buckley will also offer a Five Day Performance Workshop at New York’s T. Schreiber Studio from Saturday, June 2 to Friday, June 8. The album Hope coincides with Buckley’s debut as Madame L’Angelle in the AMC television series, “Preacher,” whose third season begins on June 25 th. This summer, she will star in the first National Tour of the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly!

Hope, Buckley’s eighteenth album, features her quartet of musicians including multi-Grammy-nominated Christian Jacob, Buckley’s long-time pianist, arranger and Music Director; Oz Noy on guitar; Tony Marino on bass; and Dan Rieser on drums. The 17 tracks include “Any Major Dude Will Tell You” (Music and lyrics by Walter Becker & Donald Fagen), “Long Ago and Far Away” (Music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Ira Gershwin), “Shades of Scarlett Conquering” (Music and lyrics by Joni Mitchell), “I Feel Lucky” (Music and lyrics by Mary Chapin Carpenter) and “Hope” (Music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown).
