Swing Band, Lizzy & the Triggermen, Appear on Saturday, April 6 at Joe’s Pub

LA swing band, Lizzy & the Triggermen, make their NYC debut on Saturday, April 6, with 2 shows at Joe’s Pub at at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. The band is an all-star lineup of jazz musicians from both coasts.

Dubbed a “10-piece jazz sensations” by LA Weekly, the group transports audiences back to the Swing Era, but with a sound and swagger that is entirely new (think Duke Ellington meets Amy Winehouse). The shows are a mixture of vintage jazz, show tunes and originals that highlight Lizzy’s keen sense of humor.

The band is helmed by classically-trained Lizzy, a vocalist and songwriter, created with musical director Dan Barrett (who played lead trombone with Benny Goodman). Their 2020 debut album, Good Songs for Bad Times, hit #3 on the iTunes Jazz Charts alongside Miles Davis and Kamasi Washington. They quickly went from performing in speakeasies to selling out top venues across the country, including touring with Squeeze, and co-headlining Modernism Week alongside Samara Joy and Nancy Sinatra.

Tickets are $35 (exclusive of service fee). There is a 2 drink or 1 food item minimum, per person, during every show. Click here to reserve.

Joe’s Pub in the Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street (at Astor Place), New York, NY
