The annual benefit from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Bares: Take Off, will take place on Sunday, June 16 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. This year’s show is travel-inspired, taking the evening of burlesque and dancing to international locales as over 150 dancers take on the roles of pilots, flight attendants, tour guides, and more.

Broadway Bares was created in 1992 by Jerry Mitchell, then a Broadway dancer, as a way to raise awareness and money for those living with HIV/AIDS. The 28 editions of Broadway Bares have raised more than $19.1 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Among the Broadway stars scheduled to perform at this year’s Broadway Bares: Take Off are Stephen DeRosa (Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus), Jay Armstrong Johnson (The Phantom of the Opera), Nathan Lee Graham (Priscilla Queen of the DesertZoolander), Tony Award nominee Ashley Park (Mean Girls), Ryann Redmond (Frozen), two-time Tony nominee Christopher Sieber (The Prom), L. Steven Taylor (The Lion King), and Christian Dante White (My Fair Lady).

Laya Barak, who co-directed last year’s Broadway Bares: Game Night with Nick Kenkel, will return to helm this year’s festivities. Joining Barak in choreographing Take Off are John Alix, Al Blackstone, Olivia Cipolla, Hope Easterbrook, Armando Farfan Jr., Bobby Hedglin-Taylor, Jonathan Lee, Ray Mercer, Justin Prescott, Luis Salgado, Michael Lee Scott, Kellen Stancil, Andrew Turteltaub, and Sidney Erik Wright.
