Cabaret duo Barbara Bleier and Austin Pendleton return with a new show at a new venue, debuting Sing Steve and Oscar at Don’t Tell Mama on Sundays March 13, March 27 and April 3, all at 7 PM. Music director is Paul Greenwood; Barbara Maier Gustern directs.
The pair will sing works by Stephen Sondheim (some well known and some little known), and by his mentor, Oscar Hammerstein II, along with stories and anecdotes told by one who knew them, and one who revered them, and one who was Sondheim’s chief stalker—and, then, there’s the one about the butter knife.
