Angela Leone “All My Tomorrows” CD Release Celebration is at Don’t Tell Mama on March 10 at 4 PM

Singer Angela Leone is rebooting her cabaret show of standards old and new in All My Tomorrows, celebrating the release of the new CD of the same name. The festivities are at Don’t Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street) at 4 PM on Saturday, March 10. Leone possesses a rich, mellow alto, conjuring images of a smooth port wine. With her musicality firmly rooted in the pop-jazz world, there’s a reason she’s often been called the “female Tony Bennett.”

Leone’s Music Director is composer-arranger and pianist, Bill Zeffiro, a multi-award winning musician, who has not only accompanied a roster of A-list talent, but who enjoys his own residency at Manhattan’s La Revista restaurant and club. Director for the show is Lennie Watts, president of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) and himself a performer as well as a director. Backing Leone are Jon Burr on bass and Jordan Petay on tenor saxophone.

Leone arrived on the Cabaret scene in 2012, with a background in music. She was awarded a music scholarship by the city of New York as a member of the “All City Orchestra” as an outstanding Woodwind Musician (with a preference for the bass clarinet). Then the vocal bug bit, and In 2013 Leone began working with the Singers Forum to sharpen her vocal skills. It was here that she met Bill Zeffiro, with whom she started taking private coaching. In 2015 Leone debuted at Tomi Jazz, and in 2016 had three separate performances of All My Tomorrows at Don’t Tell Mama. Leone was selected to the MAC preliminary ballot in the category of “New York City debut singer” in 2017.
