Vocalists Eddie Bruce and Sue Matsuki appear on Sunday, July 26 at The Cutting Room at 3 PM with The Tony Bennett Centennial Celebration. In this special brunch show, the duo are backed by Dean Schneider (piano), Brian Glassman (bass) and Lew Leabman (drums). Bruce has literally been singing the praises of Tony Bennett for decades and in this outing, he and Matsuki will be singing a few of Tony’s iconic duets among other songs.
A recognized, Bennett interpreter, Philadelphia-based Bruce is an entertainer and bandleader also known for his tributes to Frank Sinatra, and Anthony Newley, over 40 years in the music industry. The well-known Matsuki has played probably every club in NYC over her long career, including: Feinstein’s, 54 Below, The Village Gate, Birdland, The Iridium, Sweet Rhythm and Carnegie Hall, as well as appearing in five seasons as a Diva Double at the Metropolitan Opera. She has played many theaters across the country and appeared at Crazy Coqs in London and ACT2 in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.
