Multi-award-winning jazz vocalist Karen Mack appears at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, May 4 at 7:00 PM with pianist Andy Ezrin, guitarist Pete McCann, bassist Matt Aronoff, drummer Mark McLean and special guest Elliot Roth.
With creative roots in jazz, folk and swing, Mack’s style blends storyteller’s sensibility with a love of vocal harmony, wordplay and improvisation, creating performances that are fun, unique and richly musical from fierce swing to tender ballads to soulful blues. Her new set blends contemporary jazz classics and reinvented standards with finds from leading female songwriters on the New York jazz scene, including GRAMMY-winner Nicole Zuraitis.
