Vocalist Goldie Dver presents The Rhythm of Life: The Dorothy Fields Songbook at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on Tuesday, June 2 at 7 PM. At  the piano is music director, Dan Pardo, with bassist John Miller and drummer Chip Fabrizi. James Beaman directs.

Dorothy Fields, one of the most significant lyricists of the American Songbook, tallied about 400 songs in her career, from the early days of the Cotton Club to Broadway’s Seesaw in 1974. The show will include many of her standards, such as “I’m in the Mood For Love,” “I Feel a Song Coming On” and “The Way You Look Tonight” alongside lesser-known rarities.
