TONIGHT! July 16th! 10th Annual Broadway Meows Benefit Concert With Seth Bisen-Hersh at Don’t Tell Mama

The 10th Annual Broadway Meows Concert for the Humane Society of New York will be presented at Don’t Tell Mama, tonight, Monday, July 16th at 7pm. The evening is comprised of songs by composer/lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh, who will be joined on stage by Lily Ali-Oshatz, Carol Angeli (Miss Saigon), Tee Boyich (Mean Girls), Kally Duling (Fun Home), Dani Granati (Manuel vs. The Statue of Liberty), Teresa Hui (Love Quirks), Riley Krull (Mamma Mia), Miriam Kushel (More to Love), Eloïse Mueller, Sam Poon (The King and I), Joi Danielle Price (Mamma Mia), Dylan Ratell (Chicago), Celia Mei Rubin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), Eric Van Tielen (Les Miserables), Travis Ward-Osborne (Aladdin), Matt Wiercinski (Anastasia), Chelsea Williams (Mamma Mia) and Reji Woods (Rocktopia).

The audience can expect to hear 20 songs from Bisen-Hersh’s catalog, featuring popular songs from his cabaret acts and musicals: Love QuirksMore to Love and Stanley’s Party. The evening will also feature songs from his new musical, The Diamond as Big as The Ritz, a musical based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novella of the same title. The Diamond as Big as The Ritz is about the American dream for riches as satirized by Fitzgerald in 1922 and as perceived by non-Americans today.

All the proceeds from the The 10th Annual Broadway Meows Concert will go to the Humane Society of New York, which has “cared for animals in need when illness, injury or homelessness strikes” for over 100 years. The Humane Society saved Bisen-Hersh’s cat, Smee’s, life in 2009, and this annual charity concert is his way of saying thanks.
