The Skivvies’ “Sleigh My Name” Plays at Chelsea Table+Stage on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18

Ringing in the holiday season, The Skivvies celebrate their album release, Sleigh My Name, for two performances, Saturday December 17 and Sunday, December 18, both at 7:00 PM at Chelsea Table+Stage.

Sleigh My Name features outrageous takes on holiday classics and originals, including “Joyful to the World,” “Santa’s Baby” and “Little Drummer Boy Got the Beat.” The shows will feature special musical guests Ben Bogen, Michelle Dowdy, Antwayne Hopper (12/18 only), Travis Kent, Amy Hillner Larsen, Leslie Mcdonel, Seth Sikes, Mary Testa and Juson Williams and the JW inspirational singers (12/17 only).

The Skivvies are Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, singer/actor/musicians performing stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. Not only is the music stripped down—cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica—but The Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform. Molina (Broadway’s Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd, Mary Zimmerman’s Candide, Marry Me a Little) and Cearley (All Shook Up, Pageant, Buyer & Cellar) met in 2003. Quickly becoming best friends and musical collaborators, they began performing together in the city, with clothes on. The Skivvies were born in 2012, when they became YouTube sensations with their unique covers of artists like Robyn, Carole King and Rihanna. The videos led to live shows, and now this undie-rock, comedy-pop duo continues to perform in New York and beyond.

Tickets are $35-45, in addition to a service charge and a two-item food and beverage minimum. A livestream option is available for $20.

Chelsea Table+Srage is located at 152 West 26th Street, New York, NY
