Stacy Sullivan and Todd Murray Appear in “I’m Glad There Is You—The Musical Romance of Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee” on Monday, October 31 at Birdland

Singers Stacy Sullivan and Todd Murray present their new show, I’m Glad There Is You—The Musical Romance of Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee, on Monday, October 31 at 8:30 PM in Birdland Theater.

When Frank Sinatra passed in 1998, journalists from around the country clamored for a statement from his lifelong friend and collaborator Miss Peggy Lee. A few days passed before Miss Lee summed up her thoughts with five words only, “I’m glad there was you.” Over 40 hit songs from The Great American Songbook are represented in this show, all woven around anecdotes and insider history from their remarkable music careers and devoted friendship that spanned almost 60 years.

Stacy Sullivan is an award-winning recording artist, film, television and stage actress. Sullivan has co-starred onstage with Tony Award winners George Rose and Robert Morse, and onscreen alongside Tyne Daly, Kellie Martin, and Kelly McGillis. She performs her concerts regularly around the world and her seven albums can be heard on radio and digital media.

Todd Murray has performed his solo shows across the nation, receiving numerous awards and nominations. Known for his mellifluous and direct interpretations of lyrics and melody, Murray is a mellow baritone with perfect diction and meticulous phrasing. His three recordings Croon, Stardust and Swing, and When I Sing Low can be heard on radio and digital media across the spectrum from jazz to standards to pop.
