Singer Sean Patrick Murtagh returns to The Green Room 42 with an encore performance of The Mario 101 on Thursday, January 26 at 7 PM. Music director is Yasuhiko Fukuoka.
The MAC and BroadwayWorld Award-winning Murtagh recently released his debut album, The Mario 101, celebrating the Mario Lanza Songbook.The CD was accordingly named by The Broadway Radio Show as one of the Top 10 Vocalist Recordings of 2022,
In addition to singing the repertoire performed by Mario Lanza, from Broadway to opera to Neapolitan classics and more, Murtagh also explains the inspiration behind the album and the songs chosen for it. The result is an evening of nostalgia, romance and old Hollywood charm expressed through The Mario 101.
