SALON on Sunday, December 16th Contemplates “Endings & Beginnings” with Co-Host, Lennie Watts

It’s fitting that the theme for this Sunday’s SALON—the weekly open mic created and hosted by Mark Janas—is Endings and Beginnings.. In 2019, Salon moves from Etcetera, Etcetera (352 West 44th Street, NYC ) to its new home at Don’t Tell Mama. This is the last Salon for 2018. 

Co-Hosting this last 2018 Salon is the multiple award winning performer-director and president of MAC, Lennie Watts. Watts is also the Artistic Director and CEO of SINGNASIUM—“Keeping the arts ALIVE by helping vocal artists THRIVE in New York City.” The mission of Singnasium is to provide a safe, non-judgmental place for artists of all levels to fully explore their creative selves. It is designed to provide support, embrace diversity and offer eye-opening new ways of becoming a more well-rounded musician. With classes and workshops spanning all aspects of vocal performance, Singnasium utilizes the best possible teaching artists and support personnel that the New York arts community has to offer, as well as providing out-reach to the next generation of artists. There is NO SALON on Sundays, December 23 or December 30. Salon continues on January 6, 2019 at Don’t Tell Mama. The schedule is as follows:

Salon has an in-house videographer offering professional, website and YouTube-ready video clips for anyone who is interested. The cost is $20 in cash per song—payable in advance at sign-up. 

Salon is presented with a $10 cash cover ($5 for students with I.D.) collected at the door and a $20 food/drink minimum (cash or credit) per person. A 20% gratuity is added to all checks. There are no reservations; seating is on a first come/first served basis. Doors open and sign up begins at 6:15pm. The evening begins at 7:00, has a 15-minute break at 8:30 and ends promptly at 10:00.
