Salon, the award-winning open mic, hosted by Mark Janas and produced by Tanya Moberly continues at Don’t Tell Mama on Sunday, May 5th from 7:30-10:30 PM. (Sign-up begins at 7 PM.) The optional theme for the evening is “Good & Evil”.
Co-Host will be Monica Salvi! Monica is an Italian Actress/Singer who lives in London. She has appeared as The Beggar Woman in SWEENEY TODD, Luisa in NINE and received a Best Actress Award in 2018 for her portrayal of the title role in THE LAST NIGHT OF MATA HARI in Rome. She has also performed in concert at The Royal Albert Hall with Sir Elton John (THE CONCERT FOR DIANA) and in CHESS with The West End Chorus. Her critically acclaimed MAD WOMEN IN MY ATTIC! was seen at New York’s United Solo Festival in 2017 (Winner of Best Cabaret Award) and The Edinburgh Festival in 2018 and will be in The Prague Fringe Festival at the end of May. Salon Spotlight will feature Susanne Mack! Susanne is a native of Germany and before moving to NYC in 2008, lived in Switzerland for 10 years with her family. Her narratives often reflect upon the challenges and changes that she experiences as an immigrant and the cultural discoveries of a life lived between two worlds. She has performed at The United Solo Festival on Theatre Row and is a Cabaret Fellow at The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center.
