Singer Richard Holbrook’s annual Holiday show, The Many Moods of Christmas this year is themed Through A Child’s Eyes, and is dedicated to the memory of the late Broadway performer, Marin Mazzie. The show will be presented at Don’t Tell Mama (343 West 46th Street – between 8th & 9th Avenue) on Sunday, December 2, at 8:30 PM. The Tom Nelson Trio (Tom Nelson, Musical Director/pianist; Tom Kirchmer, bassist and Peter Grant, drummer) will accompany Holbrook.
The Many Moods of Christmas will feature traditional holiday favorites as well as songs from Broadway and Hollywood that fit neatly into the Christmas season. Among the celebrated composers and lyricists featured in the program are Cole Porter, Leslie Bricusse, Anthony Newley, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mercer, Johnny Marks, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, Jay Livingston, Ray Evans, Mel Torme, Amanda McBroom, and Michele Brourman.
