Remembering Michel Legrand on Wednesday, April 17, with “Le Grand Tour”

Singer Jeff Macauley is bringing back Le Grand Tour: The Music of Michel Legrand in tribute to the legendary composer who recently passed away. The show plays at 53 Above on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 PM, part of 53 Above’s Wednesday night Featured Artist Series. Musical Director Tex Arnold will be playing his arrangements on piano with Jon Burr on bass.

Academy Award-winning composer Michel Legrand wrote the scores for classic films like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Summer of ’42 and the music for the Oscar-winning song, “The Windmills Of Your Mind,” from The Thomas Crown Affair, as well as “Watch What Happens” and “I Will Wait For You,” from Umbrellas of Cherbourg. He scored and contributed to over 250 films, winning three Oscars along the way.
