Provincetown in July Is Alive, Singing and Swinging!

The Provincetown CabaretFest may be over, but Provincetown swings all summer long day and night. The vibrant entertainment scene is alive with drag and cabaret performances (and much more). Plus, there are themed weeks full of fun. And for those who plan ahead, cabaret icon Marilyn Maye will be appearing for one night only on Sunday, August 24 at Provincetown Town Hall

Bear Week, July 11 – 18: the Provincetown Bears are committed to promoting and encouraging diversity and inclusion during this special week. Girl Splash, July 22 – 25: LGBTQ+ women are the focus for fun, connection and celebration. Family Week, July 25 – August 1: The largest annual gathering of LGBTQ+ families in the world! From sunrise to sunset, Family Week offers opportunities for LGBTQ+ parents, children, extended families and friends from across the globe to connect in a welcoming atmosphere.

Provincetown Town Hall:

John Waters on Thursday, July 23, the filmmaker, writer, actor and artist performs his all-new comedy revival show, “Going to Extremes.”

Post Office Cafe & Cabaret:

Drag Brunches (12:00 PM / 11:00 AM), featuring a rotating weekly schedule/ Wednesdays feature “Panties in a Brunch” hosted by A Woman Named Carlos and Sutton Lee Seymour, offering live-singing parodies of pop and Broadway hits. Thursdays feature “Brünchlös” (or “Brunchlos”), a live-singing whirlwind of 70s Yacht Rock, 80s Pop, and 90s Punk hosted by A Woman Named Carlos. Fridays and Saturdays feature “Queens of the PO” hosted by Raquel Blake and A Woman Named Carlos. Sundays feature “Misleading Ladies” hosted by Paige Turner and Delta Miles.

Crown & Anchor:

“Unlike A Virgin” (7:30 PM): Varla Jean Merman returns with a brand-new show exploring hilarious anxieties about her biological clock and career. “For the Gays: An Honorable Discharge” (7:30 PM): Tina Burner delivers a full-throttle comedy cabaret packed with live-singing parodies. “Absolute Dina Martina” (6:00 PM): The surreal Dina Martina performs a unique mix of songs, questionable dance numbers, and bizarre video clips. “FOXY” (9:00 PM): A gender-bending queer cabaret hosted by Kristen Becker, featuring local legends and rising stars. “Drag Derby” (7:00 PM): A drag competition hosted by Willam, featuring celebrity judges succh as Jan Sport, Jackie Cox, and Tristan Schukraft.

The Art House:

“Scream Kweeen” (5:30 PM / 7:30 PM): A live-singing parody that slashes its way through the most iconic horror films of all time. “Call Me Ursula” (5:30 PM): A musical comedy show diving into villainy, inspired by Bea Arthur and celebrating the history of the sea witch from Pat Carroll to Melissa McCarthy. “Are You Smarter Than a Drag Queen?” (7:30 PM): An interactive, live game show and drag cabaret hosted by Edie.

Pilgrim House:

“Queen of Soul” (7:30 PM): Drag icon Latrice Royale returns with a piano-backed tribute to legendary vocalists, blending live singing with humor and heart. Bernadette Peters Tribute (9:00 PM): RuPaul’s Drag Race star Plasma presents a live-sung tribute reimagining Broadway classics.

Red Room & Other Venues:

“Beam Me Up, Jackie!” (7:00 PM / 9:00 PM at the Red Room): RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Jackie Cox teleports audiences through an intergalactic, live-singing comedy journey. “Christmas in July: Tammie Brown’s Holiday Sparkle” (7:00 PM at the Red Room): The eccentric Tammie Brown delivers an outlandish evening of original music, holiday classics, and whimsical storytelling. “Haus of Dy-LAN” (7:00 PM at the Red Room): Dylan Adler hosts a high-energy comedy hour injected with live music, personal anecdotes, and gymnastics. “Puff Puff Pass” (8:00 PM at the Provincetown Inn): Anita Cocktail delivers live vocals, Broadway favorites, and political comedy alongside Yoli Mayor. “Dine N’ Drag” (12:00 PM at 1620 Brewhouse): Scarlett Strauss and her rotating cast of queens host a live-singing drag brunch throughout the summer.
