A new cabaret series, Broadway at The Pierre, launched in October 2017, continues on Wednesday January 24, in association with Broadway Sings For Pride. The one-hour “Best of Broadway” show, starring Dan Domenech, Antoine L. Smith and N’Kenge, will feature a set list of musical theatre and pop songs, backed by pianist/music director Chris Curcio.
Upcoming Broadway at The Pierre shows will feature cast members from School of Rock (March 21) and Disney’s Aladdin (April date to be announced). February’s show will be announced on January 31. All performances begin at 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30). The $75 cost includes admission, a food/beverage minimum with set menu and “welcome drink.”
Broadway Sings for Pride is a nor-for-profit charitable organization which brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to promote LGBT equality through song, public education and raising awareness of the needs of LGBTQ youth. Founded in 2011, Broadway Sings for Pride has raised significant funds for the Hetrick-Martin Institute and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.
Their annual concert series features many stars in entertainment. Supporters have included Channing Tatum, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Bryan Cranston, Tim Gunn, Carol Channing, Neil Patrick Harris, Bernadette Peters and Nathan Lane.
The Two E Bar was originally the Gentlemen’s Library when The Pierre Hotel opened in 1930. The neo-classical lounge has been updated to accommodate afternoon tea during the day and transform into a cocktail bar and performance space at night, with live jazz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
