Performer Lisa Faith Phillips Presents “Do It Again: The Songs and Loves of George Gershwin” at The Triad Theater on Thursday, April 30

Performer and storyteller Lisa Faith Phillips presents Do It Again: The Songs and Loves of George Gershwin at The Triad Theater on at 7 PM. John Di Martino, composer-arranger, is at th piano.

Phillips weaves funny and touching stories of Gershwin’s life and love affairs and the songs they inspired—from siblings Adele and Fred Astaire, to married composer Kay Swift to his last love Paulette Goddard (Charlie Chaplin’s wife at the time). All the while his shy, retiring brother, Ira, transformed George’s escapades into clever lyrics, to create some of the great love songs of the American Songbook.

Tickets are $45 plus $6.40 fees
