New York International Fringe Festival Returns, Beginning October 1st, After a One-year Hiatus

The New York International Fringe Festival took a year off to re-envision itself. The festival now returns for its 21st season from October 1 – 31, 2018. The month-long run of theater works is now divided in to two segments: FringeNYC and FringeBYOV. FringeNYC will present 84 fully staged productions by some of the world’s most exciting emerging theatre troupes and dance companies. FringeBYOV (“Bring Your Own Venue”) will offer performances of a variety of genres in venues in the outer boroughs. Participating venues will include BAX|Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Branded Saloon and Irondale Center in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, The Secret Theatre, and Q.E.D. in Queens.

Patrons for all performances begin their FringeNYC experience at the FringeHUB at 685 Washington Street (corner of Charles Street) in the West Village and will be ushered to their venue. Tickets are $22, available beginning September 1st. All tickets are available for purchase up to 15 minutes prior to the performance, but only online or via mobile device.

Discounted multi-show passes (Fiver, Fiver Pairs, and Flex) are currently on sale at FringeNYC.org and are redeemable online during the month of September. The unlimited “Lunatic” pass is redeemable online throughout the festival. All passes are redeemed online, and can be used for both FringeNYC and FringeBYOV performances.
