New York Debut of Serafin LaRiviere with “Take On Me” Is at Don’t Tell Mama on Saturday, October 16th

The New York debut of Canadian jazz artist Serafin LaRiviere, with Take On Me, is at Don’t Tell Mama on Saturday, October 16th at 7:00 PM. With a repertoire of originals and covers, she’ll be backed on piano by Musical Director Michael McAssey, plus bass and saxophone.

With a 5-octave vocal range, LaRiviere has cultivated a cross-genre audience that embraces jazz, torch, adult-contemporary and even classical music. The artist has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Massey Hall and Toronto Jazz Festival, among others. Her albums include 2 AM at the Torch Café, Nothing Goes Quietly and Love’s Worst Crime. Her latest album, Unravel, moves through several genres, including classics such as “Cry Me a River” and “I Put a Spell on You” with an electronic twist.
