Multiple MAC & Bistro Award-Winner Meg Flather OpenS New Show “Outbound Plane” at Don’t Tell Mama on Saturday, March 2nd

Although she’s been a successful performer for 30 years, it’s over the past three years that singer-songwriter Meg Flather has been “flying high” in cabaret heights. Her new show, Outbound Plane, Flather continues her upward trajectory with an exploration in song of some of the “necessary losses and endings in life that ultimately take us where we need to go next.” The show plays at Don’t Tell Mama on Saturday, March 2 at 7 PM.

Outbound Plane is directed by multiple-award winner Lennie Watts with musical direction from multiple-award winner Tracy Stark. Featured is an eclectic mix of numbers written by songwriting giants of musical theater and pop, including Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerry Herman, Richard Maltby and David Shire, Alan Menken and Tim Rice, Paul Simon, Nanci Griffith, Joan Armatrading, Natalie Merchant and a new Meg
Flather original.

Meg Flather was awarded a 2016 MAC Award for “Best Original Song,” followed in 2017 by receiving MAC and Bistro Awards for “Female Vocalist of the Year” and a nomination from BroadwayWorld.com for “Best Female Vocalist.” In October 2018, Flather made her debut in the  Mabel Mercer Foundation Annual Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center, and most recently, her Back When We Were Beautiful earned her 2018 New York Cabaret Award nominations from BroadwayWorld.com for “Best Vocalist” and “Best Show.”
