On Sunday, March 3 at 7 PM, vocalist Margot Sergent returns to The Cutting Room to celebrate the recent release of her ZOHO Jazz label album, Douce France, Sweet France. Sergent’s band is: Patrick Sean Brennan and Tal Yahalom on guitar, Alec Safy on bass, Grammy Award-winner Linus Wyrsch on clarinet, Ben Silashi on drums and Loic Da Silva on accordion.

Sergent will present her own original compositions, along with renditions of classics by Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Charles Trenet.

With her classical background in France as a harp player, the singer transitioned briefly through pop music, serving as the touring harp player and backing vocalist for French singer/songwriter Nolwenn Leroy, before falling in love with jazz while collaborating with the legendary saxophonist Archie Shepp. In 2019, Margot made her debut at Birdland with The Edith Piaf Experience, and has since played at 54 Below, The Cutting Room and others.
