Singer-songwriter Marcus Goldhaber‘s album release show, The Promise of You plays at Mezzrow on Thursday, July 16 with two sets, 6 PM and 7:30 PM, featuring the Marcus Goldhaber Quartet: Marcus Goldhaber / Vocals, Sean Fitzpatrick / Piano, Michael O’Brien / Bass and Alvester Garnett / Drums.
Goldhaber’s sixth studio album, The Promise of You, released in April, is his first full-length recording in nearly a decade. Co-produced by Goldhaber and pianist, Art Hirahara, the album was spurred by the 2024 closure of his Harlem jazz club, Room 623, with the singer channeling his energy into songwriting and recording. The tracklist includes fresh takes on classics such as “Skylark,” “Let’s Get Lost” and “The Best Is Yet to Come,” alongside original songs including “Just One More Song,” “Two at a Time” and the title track.
